Our Uxbridge print and production studio.
Hello from sunny Uxbridge, London.
Perhaps not the most obvious choice for a production studio you might say? But we’ve been successfully operating here for a number of years now, so let us enlighten you.
There were a few key features in our decision to locate our specialist print hub in this up-coming West London location.
And let’s start with just that, location.
Uxbridge is a great place to be in terms of logistics and distribution. It’s in close proximately to Heathrow for our international deliveries; it’s on the edge of town giving us access to the rest of the country easily, and it’s only 45 minutes into Central London via road or train. This means we can deliver graphics efficiently to our W1 HQ and print studio, and account managers can jump between locations when briefing in large jobs, proofing prints, showing customers the company’s production capabilities or visiting West London clients.
The Uxbridge location also meant we get more for our money. We were able to have a brand new, high spec, large square foot unit perfect for the print and production equipment we need. This planning meant we were also able to invest in top-of-the-range printers and cutters. In fact, not only does our print equipment produce excellent quality work, but it also helps us run and maintain a more cost-effective print production department. The unit size and layout gives us space to bulk order materials as we have enough storage to manage material deliveries. This allows The Graphical Tree to keep costs down for customers and have enough substrates in stock for last minute or large customer orders.
Other key features are the environment and sustainability factors. As far as we could see, nowhere in Central London has access to solar panels on their roof as a way of contributing to a buildings own on-site energy. It’s a resource we have at our Uxbridge site, with our very own solar panels feeding into our energy supply. As a consequence of choosing Uxbridge for our second production site, we were able to allocate a huge chunk of the investment budget into the purchasing of environmentally friendly print machinery. This allows us to march forward in our mission to offer and support eco and sustainable print for the large format industry and our customers.
So what do we offer at our Uxbridge in terms of production?
The unit was set up to be the main print and productions unit for The Graphical Tree. Our accumulative experience and knowledge culminated in setting up a facility which would cater for all the different work we’re asked to produce by customers, including –
